Analogue Electronics Hardware Development Design Engineer
Location: Lancashire
AMS Neve is a world leader in professional audio equipment design and supply to the highest profile film, music and TV studios internationally with a longstanding reputation for innovation. Due to expansion, a vacancy has arisen for a talented Analogue Electronics Hardware Development Engineer in our R&D team.
Permanent position: £ Negotiable + benefits package.
Main tasks and duties: Hands-on product development, working independently or in a team, specifying products and delivering designs to meet those specifications. Detail designs of new products along with variants of existing products along with their support. You will be responsible for developing electronic schematics, prototyping and releasing products to manufacture. Enhancement of the Company's technology in order to expand the product range.
Relevant competences, skills and experience:
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years demonstrable applicable experience of analogue electronic design & development in an industrial environment. Experience in one or more of low level, low noise, audio frequency, and low power design concepts and applications will prove highly desired.
- Experience with PCB layout not required but highly advantageous
- Experience in digital electronic design beneficial
- Experience with Mentor Graphics design capture and layout (Expedition) tools advantageous
- Technically and commercially aware and keen to learn new skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills. Able to liaise with staff at all levels
- General computer literacy, including Microsoft Office packages.
