AIR moves into movie-making1st December 2011
AIR Entertainment Group, which includes AIR and Strongroom studios, has repositioned itself to offer not only recording and post production facilities but also to participate in support for content creation. As part of this, the group is now offering a ‘post equity’ funding service to film-makers, including competitive prices on post production services, in exchange for a negotiated stake in the production.
Both AIR, with a 48-fader DFC Gemini for dubbing and a 96-fader 88RS for score-recording, and Strongroom, with a VR60 Legend in Studio One, are confirmed fans of AMS Neve consoles – the number one choice for the movie business.
The first movie to take advantage of the service is Trevor Miller’s Riot on Redchurch Street, starring Sam Hazeldine, Alysson Paradis and Jesse Birdsall. A rock and roll-themed study of Anglo-Muslim racial tension in East London, it is currently in post production and due for release in the UK in 2012.
