Hackenbacker secures Emmy Nomination for Downton Abbey
Re-Recording Mixers Nigel Heath and Kiran Marshall from London’s Hackenbacker Studios have been nominated for their work on ‘Downton Abbey’ at the 67th Annual Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards.
To date, every episode of the smash hit show has been mixed in Hackenbacker’s AMS Neve MMC equipped Studio One.
Heath comments, “It’s a huge thrill to be nominated for a 3rd time for Downton Abbey. The sound on the show is a massive team effort and the recognition by the awards is testament to the quality of the work of the sound editors, ADR and Foley engineers, composer John Lunn and his team, and, of course, our co-nominee, David Lascelles, the sound mixer on set and his crew.”“Downton Abbey’s extremely sound aware producers and directors rightly expect the best possible sound work for the show, and our AMS Neve console really helps us deliver the goods time after time – on time!”
Kiran Marshall, enjoying his first Emmy Award nomination, adds, “I’m very honoured to be a part of the sound team on Downton Abbey, and being nominated for this award is incredibly exciting! Working alongside both the sound team at Hackenbacker, and the production team, is a real joy and a privilege.”
The 67th Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony will be held on the 12th of September 2015, at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
