The X-Factor boys did good! ‘1D: This Is Us’ is an access- all areas, intimate look at life on the road for the world’s biggest-selling boy band since The Beatles.

Intertwined with amazing live concert footage, this inspiring feature film tells the remarkable story of Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry and Louis’ meteoric rise to fame, from childhood to competing on the X-Factor, to conquering the world and performing at the most prestigious venues around the globe.

‘One Direction: This Is Us’ was mixed by Paul Massey (Music & Dials) and Jamie Roden (FX/Atmos/Foley/Crowd) at Warner Bros De Lane Lea on the AMS Neve DFC Gemini. In the final mix Paul Massey automated only on the DFC and Jamie used a combination of the DFC automation and the D-Control (connected to both FX/Atmos & Foley/Crowd Protools rigs). During re-cuts both the Pro-tools sessions & DFC automation were conformed.

The console was used for summing to create all master domestic deliverables. The Home Theatre Mix in ST2 was done by Paul Massey and he automated on the DFC from the theatrical stems to create this associated deliveries.

The new ‘Fan Cut’ of the movie, featuring an extra 20 minutes worth of footage including 4 new songs, was released in cinemas on Friday 20th September.
