Classic Tone. Digital Workflow.
The 1073DPX-D is a dual 1073® channel strip with integrated USB/ADAT audio interface, bringing legendary analogue tone directly into the digital workflow.

Classic Meets Modern
The 1073DPX-D extends the legendary 1073 into the digital domain, combining dual-channel analogue signal paths with an integrated high-performance audio interface. With USB and ADAT digital connectivity, the unit functions as a versatile hub for recording, mixing, and monitoring, making it equally at home in professional studios, live rigs, and mobile recording setups.
10x12 Audio Interface
With ten inputs and twelve outputs, the dual-channel 1073DPX-D provides flexible studio-wide connectivity. Two analogue input paths sit alongside eight channels of ADAT expansion, while four analogue and eight ADAT outputs offer comprehensive routing options. This scalable I/O design enables the 1073DPX-D to serve as the focal point of your studio, seamlessly connecting all of your tools to your DAW.
Class-Compliant USB
Designed for effortless integration, the 1073DPX-D’s class-compliant USB interface requires no additional drivers, enabling immediate plug-and-play connectivity with Mac and PC systems. A single USB connection provides direct DAW access to the unit’s dual-channel analogue signal path and processing, making it ideal for both studio and mobile recording workflows.
ADAT Expansion Options
The 1073DPX-D features versatile ADAT input and output connectivity with two distinct operating modes. In USB/ADAT Hub Mode, additional units such as the 1073OPX or another 1073DPX-D can be connected via ADAT to scale your system and expand channel count. In ADAT Audio Expander Mode, the unit functions as a dedicated ADAT expander, integrating a complete dual-channel 1073 signal path into your existing audio interface with minimal setup.
Digital Hardware Insert
The 1073DPX-D transforms into a dual-channel hardware insert, bringing authentic 1073 analogue processing into your DAW. Tracks can be routed through the unit’s class-A preamps, Marinair transformers, and inductor EQ, then returned digitally via USB or ADAT, enabling seamless integration of Neve tone into modern recording, mixing, and production workflows.
Studio Monitoring Centrepiece
The 1073DPX-D introduces advanced monitoring flexibility with a dedicated headphone output, independent attenuation, and full loudspeaker control. Featuring the classic Neve red knob, users can effortlessly blend dual stereo DAW sources with the unit’s own recording signals, latency-free, establishing the 1073DPX-D as a small-studio centrepiece that combines tactile control with professional monitoring versatility.
Class-A Discrete Design
The 1073DPX-D blends classic Neve class-A topology with modern manufacturing precision. A fully discrete signal path and exclusive, hand-mounted Marinair input and output transformers deliver the renowned 1073 character, while advanced in-house SMT techniques support consistency and reliability. The critical audio path is built using traditional through-hole construction, with hand-mounted transformers and class-A transistor amplifiers ensuring uncompromised sonic integrity.
1073® Gain Staging
The 1073 gain structure combines legendary Neve topology with precise modern control. A 5dB stepped Elma rotary switch ensures consistent gain recall, while the intuitive layout automatically selects the correct input stage without the need for additional switching. Dual transistor-based preamplifiers provide three distinct gain stages, delivering clean headroom and musical saturation across microphone, line, and DI inputs.
Inductor-Based EQ
Rooted in Rupert Neve’s original design philosophy, the dual-channel, three-band inductor EQ delivers the timeless musicality that defined the 1073. Each frequency point has been chosen to enhance tone with purpose, while custom hand-wound inductors, manufactured in the UK and exclusive to Neve, uphold and surpass the revered original specification.
Flexible Analogue I/O
The 1073DPX-D delivers true dual-channel analogue flexibility, designed to integrate effortlessly into any professional studio environment. Switchable front and rear connections on both channels provide instant access for tracking while maintaining clean, permanent studio wiring. Independent balanced insert send and return loops with selectable insertion points allow seamless integration of external analogue processors such as compressors or EQs. Dedicated rotary output faders on each channel, offering a wide -inf to +5dB range, provide precise control of both signals, feeding discrete XLR outputs for uncompromised sonic integrity.
