DAW Digital Input: True Hybrid Integration
The most significant addition is the new DAW digital input feature. You can now route pre-recorded mono or stereo tracks from your DAW directly through the 88M’s legendary 88R preamps, adding the famous Marinair® transformer character to individual tracks or your entire mix bus. Whether you’re re-amping vocals to add warmth and dimension, or running your stereo mix through the transformers for that final touch of analogue magic, the signal path is pure 88R topology.
The 88M inserts can now function as true hardware inserts within your DAW. Connect your favourite outboard processors, such as the 88C compressor, an EQ, or a saturator, and they become seamless parts of your digital session. No more committing to prints or managing complex routing. Just real-time analogue processing that sits naturally in your modern workflow.
